Milgard Windows Installation and Fiber Cement Siding in Bear Valley CA
Situated in the foothills of California’s Sierra Mountains, Bear Valley is one of the nation’s most beautiful areas to live in. It is blessed with abundant natural beauty, encompassing high mountain pine forests, majestic oaks, upland meadows and more.
Jerry contacted us looking for the replacement of windows in his home in Bear Valley CA, and the installation of appropriate siding that would match the existing style of home. We suggested fiberglass windows to him as these are durable and resistant to cold, heat, water, insects and UV rays. He decided on Milgard windows with white interior and bronze exterior that perfectly complemented the home. In siding, he preferred to go with Certainteed’s Mahogany stained fiber cement siding that is durable and specifically built to withstand everyday bumps and impacts.
To get started with the project, we had to face many challenges and conduct dry rot repair which caused delays. As the house is located in Bear Valley that gets huge snow during the fall, our main goal was to complete the Milgard Windows installation before the fall whilst maintaining the quality. To install the windows in the back side, we had to hire a scaffolding company that put masonry grade scaffolding so that our workers can properly set the windows. Some windows that were to be installed three stories high weighed over 400 lbs, so we had to use wench to lift them up into the openings.
Since the house is on steep slope, it was very exhausting and difficult to transport windows and siding to the back of home. In spite of all these challenges and obstacles, we were able to complete the entire project on time, including the installation of 15 windows and one French patio door, along with fiber cement siding installation. Jerry was quite impressed and thrilled with the work as all his requirements were met professionally and efficiently.
