California Energy Consultant Service often provides window installation and window replacement in cities like El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, Rocklin, and throughout El Dorado and Placer County. Those areas all use PG&E as their electricity provider, which leads people to wonder: does PGE offer any incentives or rebates for window installation or window replacement?

Does PGE Offer Windows Rebates?

SMUD, which serves nearby Sacramento, does have several rebates available for energy efficiency upgrades which include windows. That can help save a lot of money on replacement windows.

But, unfortunately, PGE does not offer any window rebates as of this writing. However, that should not stop you from getting new windows. That is because:

• PGE rates have increased considerably, and new windows can potentially save 30% or more on energy bills.
• Programs like the Go Green Loan make it possible to finance windows at a low rate, saving a lot of money if you do not currently have the cash to pay for the loan.
• Prices do seem to keep rising. We can try to lock you into the best prices now before they go up. Most of the price of windows is directly from the manufacturer, which means that the earlier you order your windows, the less the price will be.

It is possible, especially as energy efficiency becomes more of a priority here in Northern California, that there will be some PGE windows rebates in the future. You can find out if they have any rebates by searching Google for “residential rebates guide PGE.” The 2024 guide is here:

Note: PGE does not always make it easy to find their rebates, and does not currently have a place on their site that continually updates as rebates change. It may require some Google searching to locate their rebates. Does PGE Offer Any Energy Efficiency Rebates?

PGE is currently not quite as generous as SMUD and other companies with their rebate offers. Right now, as of this writing, the only rebates that PGE offers are for products such as:

• Smart Thermostats
• Electric Water Heaters
• Backup Generators
• Portable Batteries

The rebates range from $50 to $300.

Will PGE Offer Window Rebates in the Future?

PGE doesn’t typically announce their rebates beforehand, but we’re keeping an eye out! As an energy efficiency company, we want you to be able to afford your windows, so if there is ever a PGE rebate for windows, HVAC, or any other services, we’ll try to be the first to let you know.
