At the time of this writing, there are warnings sent all throughout Sacramento, El Dorado, and Placer County that it could reach freezing cold temperatures tonight. It has been pouring rain for over a week, and it is looking like another cold, rainy week coming up next week.
That has us wondering: is your air conditioner ready?
Now, you are unlikely to be using your air conditioner right now. It’s cold. You’re probably using your heater, possibly 24 hours a day, trying to keep you and your family from feeling frigid despite us being only a few hours from March. You’re not using your air conditioner, so why would you need to make sure that it’s ready? What would it need to be ready for?
It’s true that it’s not yet time to use your AC. But we are soon going to be entering the warmer seasons, and when we do, we’re likely to use our air conditioner right away to keep our properties cool.
But your AC has been sitting for months, unused. We’ve had a rainy, cold, windy winter. The last thing you want to do is turn on your AC when the weather starts to warm only to find that it is less efficient, or needs to be cleaned, or has other problems that need to be addressed.
So, while it’s true that your AC isn’t needed right now, it is also true that you need to make sure that your air conditioner is working properly. Maybe not now. Maybe not next week. But soon.
Rather than wait until your AC is under pressure to keep your house cool, the best time to schedule AC tuneup and repair is within the next month or two. That allows you to have plenty of time to make sure your AC – and your entire HVAC system – is working properly before they are regularly used.
This will allow you not only to make sure that your air conditioner is working properly – it also decreases the likelihood of a more expensive problem arising in the future when your air conditioner is back to work. We at California Energy Consultant Service will test every component of your AC, to help make sure that the appliance is less likely to experience damage or electrical problems when late spring and summer come.
Every air conditioner needs annual tuneups and maintenance. California Energy Consultant Service is ready to help. With low rates, great service, and ample knowledge of how ACs operate, now is a great time to schedule your appointment with CECS for your AC maintenance, and to ask about our club program for even more savings.
